Paid Time Off
TEAM’s paid time off benefits include:
- Vacation
- Sick time
- Holidays
Vacation
Vacation begins accruing the first pay period after your initial hire date or when you transfer to a benefit-eligible position.
You earn vacation up to the maximum annual accrual listed below. Once you reach the maximum, you won’t earn any additional vacation days until your annual accrual is below the limit.
You won’t earn vacation if you’re on an unpaid leave of absence, FMLA/STD leave, extended military leave, extended absence on Workers’ Compensation, or any other applicable state- or local- approved leave.
The chart below shows how you accrue vacation, based on your years on service.
Accrual Rate per Pay-Period (Bi-weekly) | Maximum Annual Accrual in Hours/Days | |
0 through 4 years | 3.08 Hours | 80 hours/10 Days |
Beginning Year 5 through Year 9 | 4.62 Hours | 120 Hours/15 Days |
Beginning Year 10 and Beyond | 6.15 Hours | 160 Hours/20 Days |
Sick Time
You are eligible for sick time if you’re a full-time employee. For new employees, you must complete 90 days of service before you can use sick time.
Sick time is a grant program. This means it’s given to you, not earned. It does not carry over from year to year.
The chart below shows how much sick time you receive, based on your date of hire.
Hired | Number of Days for Current Year |
January 1 to February 28–29 | 5 |
March 1 to April 30 | 4 |
May 1 to June 30 | 3 |
July 1 to August 31 | 2 |
September 1 to October 31 | 1 |
November 1 to December 31 | 0 |
Holidays
TEAM recognizes the importance of leisure time and will observe holidays as designated by management. You are eligible for holidays if you’re a full-time or part-time employee who regularly works at least 20 hours per week.
Currently, the company observes the following nine U.S. holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Good Friday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Leaves of Absence (LOA)
In partnership with our paid time off benefits, full-time employees can also take a leave of absence for non-work-related illness, injuries, and/or certain FMLA-protected situations. These leaves include:
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Military Leave
- Short-Term Disability (STD)
Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
Eligible employees may be able to take an unpaid Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) of up to 12 weeks, in any 12 months for certain situations, such as the birth of a child or if you have a serious medical condition.
If a family member suffers a serious injury or illness while serving on active duty, you may take up to 26 weeks of unpaid leave.
Military Leave
The company recognizes that employees may need to be absent from work to serve in the U.S. military. You can take a military service leave of absence if you are a regular full-time or part-time employee and have completed 90 days of service in compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and applicable state laws.
If you need to take a military service leave, please provide advance notice to your Supervisor and the Corporate Human Resources Department.
Short-Term Disability (STD)
STD replaces a portion of your pay if a non-work-related illness (including pregnancy) or injury prevents you from working for a short period of time. The plan replaces a portion of your earnings until you are no longer disabled or until you reach the maximum benefit period.
TEAM provides Basic STD at no cost to you that provides you with 60% of your base pay. You can also purchase STD Buy-Up for additional protection that provides you with 75% of your base pay.

STD Paycheck Costs
TEAM pays the full cost of Basic STD. You pay the cost if you elect STD Buy-Up. The cost is $0.20 per $10 of base salary. You pay the difference in percentage of income between Basic STD and STD Buy-Up. You’ll see your cost for STD Buy-Up when you complete the online enrollment process.
Here’s an example of what you would pay for STD Buy-Up if your base salary is $40,000.
- Basic STD Plan: Replaces 60% of $40,000 or $24,000
- STD Buy-Up Plan: Replaces 75% of $40,000 or $30,000
- $30,000 − $24,000 = $6,000
- $6,000 ÷ $10 = $600
- $600 x $0.20 = $120 (annual cost)
- $120 ÷ 26 pay periods = $4.62 bi-weekly cost
